We here at 5280 Toy Rat Terriers take pride in the puppies we produce.
So much pride, we keep our own puppies for our breeding program

 as well as out-crossing our lines
While out-crossing your genetics IS a must

to ensure good quality bloodlines,
keeping back your own lineages is
essential to a good breeding program as well.
I choose only the best for breeding based on

health in parentage, history, quality, and pedigree.
What we look for goes beyond visual appearances,
we want to ensure he/she will have the best health,

temperament and qualities we look for in our breeding program.
We know if quality is important to us it is

important to our clients as well.
Not all dogs will fit the high standard I have chosen to be

  5280 breeding quality,

and therefore may not
be bred at all

after being held back , fostered, grown, and nurtured.

My standards for breeding, are not the same as my standards for pets.

Breeders have to be able 99.9 % in my opinion, on all 

above mentioned areas, where pets, can fall short, on conformation,

and it's not going to affect it's quality of life.

To produce great puppies, a breeder has to hold back only great dogs!

Not sub-par quality.

So, ask yourself... is your breeder GREAT!

or sub-par, producing sub-par puppies?

No one wants sub-par, right.
